Pinky comes up short in her title bout against Tenshi at the Sporatorium

November 13th, 2017

Pinky Shortcake is a Midwestern Midget Wrestling Sensation who made her debut in PPW a few years ago. Since her debut her popularity has risen and as a result she’s been able to tour across the nation with other Micro grapplers. As PPW made its return to Flushing, Pinky made a surprise return to the ring after a yearlong hiatus. After PPW received word that Sybil Starr had suffered a neck injury they rushed to find a replacement. Pinky found out about the chance to become AIWF Women’s Champion and contacted PPW for the opportunity.

Going into the night Tenshi knew Sybil Starr was out, however she didn’t know who her replacement was. Defending a championship is tough on its own, trying to prepare to an unknown challenge is a challenge to say the least. As Pinky made her appearance to the ring, Tenshi relaxed and seemed confident of an easy victory. That was until she saw that Pinky had backup in the form of the Continental Champion Beefcake and his pal Slim Trimmons. When the match started Tenshi was in firm control, however it didn’t take long for Trimmons and Sir Cake to get involved. Pinky had a few great opportunities to defeat Tenshi, however in the end she came up short.

This marks the second successful defense for the AIWF World Women’s Champion Tenshi since capturing the title in early October from “The Midwest Slayer” Stay Shadows. Tenshi now looks to Dec. 2 in Holland where she’ll finally get a chance to face Sybil Starr. PPW online has confirmed with Starr’s training team and expects her to be medically cleared in time to compete.
